The Terroir: In the idyllic Maremma region, just a few kilometers from the sun-drenched Mediterranean coast, the vines grow in a picturesque landscape. The nutrient-poor soils of weathered sandstone and clay at altitudes of 75 to 175 meters create the perfect conditions for complex, powerful yet elegant wines. The blend: The Ilatraia blend combines 40% Petit Verdot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc.
