Uli Metzger's Kalkstein Riesling is a wonderful and crisp "everyday" Riesling with a noticeable fruity note. The vines thrive on select plots of land on the Sonnenberg. There, the soils are predominantly limestone, lending the wine a delicate minerality. The palate of this excellent Riesling reveals apricot, green apple, and floral notes. This wine, with its elegant and refreshing acidity, is exactly what you would expect from a good Riesling. It is a good accompaniment to sushi, fish dishes, and vegetarian dishes.
